GWC Mainstage Theater presents...
Director, Tom Amen
This hilarious farce by Ken Ludwig, author of Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, is sure to leave audiences in stitches! British Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves down on their luck, when they hear that a wealthy widow in York, Pennsylvania is on her deathbed and is about to leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews. Deciding to pass themselves off as the beloved boys, Jack and Leo are determined to get the cash. There is only one small problem: Upon arriving in York, the boys discover that the nephews, Max and Steve, are really nieces, Maxine and Stephanie! To complicate matters, Jack and Leo both fall head-over-heels in love with two young women at their dear old auntie’s palatial mansion.
Suddenly it’s Some Like It Hot meets Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as things spiral quickly
out of control, and into a delightful evening of theatrical mayhem! Comedy just doesn’t get any better!
